Our Story
India feeds billions, yet the people behind this system — farmers — have long struggled with fragmented supply chains, unreliable inputs, and limited access to fair markets.
This gap between production and prosperity is where DeHaat began.
Founded on February 6, 2012, in Patna, Bihar, DeHaat (Green Agrevolution Pvt. Ltd.) was built not in boardrooms, but from the realities of Indian agriculture. The vision was simple but powerful — to transform farming into a service-rich, data-driven ecosystem where farmers have access to everything they need, in one place.
About DeHaat
DeHaat™ is one of the fastest-growing start-ups in the Agri-Tech sector & one of the very few companies providing end-to-end solutions & services to the farming community in India. We are building AI-enabled technologies to revolutionize supply chain & production efficiency in the farming sector.
Today, DeHaat operates across 12 Indian agrarian states with a network of 11,000+ DeHaat Centers and 503 FPOs, serving 1.8 million+ farmers. It also delivers AI-enabled crop advisory for 30+ crops in regional languages, making advanced technology accessible at the grassroots level.
Founded by alumni from IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIM Ahmedabad & other top institutes, DeHaat has grown into a fully funded start-up with an exceptional growth trajectory. It has been certified as a Great Place to Work for two consecutive years (2022–2023 & 2023–2024), and its impact has been recognized by NASSCOM, Forbes, Economic Times, NITI Aayog, the Bill Gates Foundation, and more.
What DeHaat Does?
DeHaat is not just a platform — it is a complete agricultural ecosystem.
It starts with something fundamental: trust in inputs. Farmers get access to quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment through verified supply chains, eliminating the risk of counterfeit products.
From there, DeHaat moves into intelligence. Its AI-driven advisory system uses satellite imagery, weather data, and soil insights to provide crop-stage specific recommendations — helping farmers make informed decisions at the right time.
On the ground, this digital intelligence is supported by 11,000+ DeHaat Centres, run by local micro-entrepreneurs. These centres act as physical touchpoints where farmers can access products, guidance, and services in their own communities.
And when the crop is ready, DeHaat ensures farmers are not left alone in the market. Through direct market linkage, it connects them with institutional buyers, improving price realization and reducing dependency on middlemen.
All of this is tied together through the DeHaat app — a digital backbone that enables inventory management, order tracking, financial tools, and advisory services.
Scale & Reach
What started as a local initiative has grown into one of India’s most extensive farmer-centric ecosystems.
DeHaat today serves 1.8 million+ farmers across 12 states, supported by more than 11,000 rural centres and integration with 503 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). This scale reflects not just growth, but deep-rooted trust within the farming community.
Funding & Growth
This impact has been matched by strong investor confidence.
DeHaat has raised $247.7 million+ across 9 funding rounds from leading investors including Peak XV Partners, Temasek Holdings, RTP Global, Omnivore, Lightrock, Sofina, Prosus Ventures, Trifecta Capital, and BlackSoil.
In April 2025, the company secured ₹200 crore in venture debt from Trifecta Capital, signaling its next phase of expansion.
Financial Performance
DeHaat’s financial journey reflects steady progress.
In FY25, the company reported revenue of ₹3,041 crore, up from ₹2,720.3 crore in FY24. It recorded a net profit of ₹369 crore and achieved an annual revenue run rate of ₹4,000 crore in 2026.
More importantly, it improved its efficiency — reducing the cost of earning ₹1 of revenue from ₹1.44 to ₹0.89.
What’s Happening in 2026
DeHaat is now moving beyond traditional agriculture into the future.
It has partnered with AVPL to train 1.4 lakh agri and drone entrepreneurs, positioning itself at the forefront of precision agriculture.
The company is expanding into agri-exports, frozen foods, fruit pulp, and processed food segments — moving up the value chain.
At the same time, it is strengthening its advisory systems using AI, satellite intelligence, and disease detection technologies, while also engaging in conversations around policy challenges impacting farmers.
Competitive Position
What truly differentiates DeHaat is its full-stack approach.
While many players focus on a single layer — inputs, advisory, or supply chain — DeHaat integrates all three into one unified platform.
Its hybrid model, combining physical centres with digital intelligence, along with deep FPO integration, creates a strong and defensible position in the agri-tech ecosystem.
Impact
At its core, DeHaat is solving real problems.
It reduces input costs by ensuring quality and fair pricing. It improves yields through data-driven advisory. It increases farmer income by enabling direct market access.
Beyond economics, it also creates rural employment through micro-entrepreneurs and strengthens collective farming through FPOs.
The Road Ahead
Looking ahead, DeHaat’s path is clearly defined.
The company aims to achieve full operational profitability, expand its exports and food processing verticals, and scale geographically using its recent funding.
It is also investing in drone-based agriculture and preparing for long-term milestones, including IPO readiness.
